About Me
Joined the Royal Fleet Auxiliary in September 1957 as a Deck Apprentice. Had 3 months training at King Edward V11 College in London. Joined my first ship, Wave Prince, a refuelling tanker, in January 1958. This was followed by time on several other tankers, the ammunition carrier Resurgent, and lastly the research ship Discovery. Went ashore in March 1962 to get married and never set sail again. A great experience with the Navy. |
